Is it wrong to completely ignore your ex?

She's the love of my life, but the bad clearly outweighs the good. I know she's not the one for me. Everytime I try and leave she wants me back she's stringing me along for attention and I'm her back up. I've went through so much pain with her it hurts staying in contact. So is it ok if I ignore her completely?
