Is a septoplasty worth it?

I met with my ENT recently, and he found that I had a moderately deviated septum. He said it wasn't mandatory for good health to get a septoplasty, but that it was definitely on the table for me, and offerred as a ballpark figure my breathing through my nose could improve by 50-60 percent. Would the benefits of this surgery outweigh the risks in this case?
